For more than 110 years we have been working every day for the health of dairy cows. What started with a single milking grease is today a range for udder protection, hoof protection and milk hygiene. Our motivation has been the same since day one: a happy and healthy cow.
1910: An aviation pioneer founds a company
As an aviation pioneer, company founder Ferdinand Eimermacher was used to looking far ahead. In 1910 he founded a small company in Münster, Westphalia, and soon began developing and producing the then highly sought-after Hygiena milking grease. He had no idea what foundation he was laying.
The original product: Hygiena milking grease
Hygiena milking grease was and still is the successful original product of eimü and stands for tradition and innovation alike. Today it is called eimü Hygiena balm and combines the benefits of milking grease with those of a healing udder ointment.
The laughing cow
Curiosity and inventiveness soon created many new products that focused on a happy and healthy cow from the very beginning. Ever since, the trademark with the laughing cow has reflected this goal.
Today: eimü – protecting cows
